Award winning and internationally renowned classical flutist Kaitlin Hershey is highly sought after as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician. Bold yet introspective, her melodic style reflects her love of traditional classic music and modern, 21st century styles.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Hershey was selected to be a featured performer at the 2019 Kutztown University exchange program with the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece on a scholarship grant. This program allowed her to study with Othonas Gkogkas, principal flutist of the Thessaloniki Orchestra. She performed a recital at the University of Macedonia consisting of solo and chamber works. Ms. Hershey has also attended and performed in masterclasses with Carol Wincenc, Paul Edmund Davies, and Dr. Andrea Loewy.
Active also as a chamber musician, Ms. Hershey is a founding member of award-winning chamber duo, Les Deux Amis, with acclaimed classical guitarist, Emilio Garcia. The duo recently placed second in the Best Composer’s Series for “Best Bartok Performance” for their performance of Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances.
